MU Lincoln diocese

Richard is proud to announce his membership of Mothers’ Union – lagging behind Sylvia by nearly 40 years!!!  Yes, we are that old…

Sylvia is currently Diocesan Chaplain for Lincoln Diocese Mothers’ Union and we have a wonderful President in Elizabeth Page.

From time to time Sylvia and Richard are invited to speak – and sing – at Councils and branch meetings, which we love doing. Everyone is more than welcome to any MU meeting.

Richard has written music to Mary Sumner’s famous personal prayer and it is lovely to hear and to sing.

Mary Sumner’s Personal Prayer

Mary Sumner

All this day, O Lord,
let me touch as many lives as possible
for thee;
and every life I touch,
do thou by thy Spirit quicken,
whether through the word I speak,
the prayer I breathe, or the life I live.

On Monday 15 May, 2017, 18 members and friends met at a one day Retreat in Edenham Regional House 10am–3pm when we took part in  the Archbishops of Canterbury and York’s  Thy Kingdom Come: global wave of prayer.

Richard and Sylvia at Ingoldsby Church

Richard and Sylvia performed some songs from The Jesus Story and The Peter Story on Saturday 29 April 2017.  This was a concert in aid of Ingoldsby Church.  The Group Choir gave a splendid performance of other songs.
